“I have been training dogs for almost 50 years. I’ve learned so much from all the dogs who so graciously allowed me to learn from them. But in the last seven years I have make huge advances in my knowledge and abilities.
I took the Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner training, which opened up my eyes to how training could, and should, be a joyful, mutual learning experience that leads to dogs that are happy, willing partners. The outcome of removing all correction, pain, and fear from training is a sharing of love and respect that is as unlike the rote obedience we used to teach, as real friendship is to casual acquaintance.
I’m totally hooked on what’s possible with a clicker and some patience! Since graduating from Karen Pryor Academy, I’ve followed up with many seminars, camps, and conventions that have continued to expand my knowledge and experience with Positive Reinforcement Training.”
